Required Qualifications
Admission of International students is subject to the possession of:
- a first level university degree in Engineering.
Students with university degrees in other areas may also apply. In this case the Admission Committee will evaluate the suitability of the degree;
- a certified B2 (or higher) CEFR level of English, or English mother tongue applicants.
Applicants who do not have the above language pre-requisites, have to do a specific English language examination. To that end, a dedicated 24 hour English course will be provided by the university. In case of failure to pass the English language examination the applicant cannot enroll for Environmental Engineering course.
How to apply
1. International students holding an Italian Bachelor Degree.

2. Italian (including those with double nationality) and other EU citizens holding a foreign degree.
The enrolment procedure is in 4 steps
Step 1: Pre-acceptance procedure.
Application period is from March 31st to October 15th, 2021. You can submit your pre-application online via our web platform https://moduli.ing.univpm.it/im14/ The Pre-acceptance submission is completed when the APPLICATION reports the status CHIUSO1.
Step 2: Admission Procedure.
The Admission Committee (AC) will examine your pre-acceptance documentation. If necessary, the AC will send you an email to set the date for a skype interview. If the AC’s judgement is positive, the AC will send you a letter of acceptance and you can start to prepare the documents for the enrollment procedure according to step 3 below.
Step 3: Validation of your qualifications at the Italian Embassy.
Contact the Italian Embassy in your country or the nearest Italian Consulate and present:
- your university degree;
- your transcript of records (a certificate issued by your university of provenance that certifies your academic degree, passed exams, grades, credits or the amount of hours for each subject);
- a syllabus including all the learning activities completed to obtain the foreign academic qualification, on the headed paper of the foreign university, with an official stamp and signature (translation is not required for programmes originally produced in English);
- four passport photos.
(documents 1 and 2 must be legalised by the Embassy or Consulate and accompanied by a translation into Italian by a certified translator/public notary. Please check with the Italian Embassy/Consulate about the right procedure).
The Embassy will:
- issue the “declaration of value” of your university degree;
- certify the other documents.
NB. EU students and non-EU equivalent students may replace the transcript of records with the “Diploma Supplement” for academic qualifications issued by universities in the European Higher Education Area (Bologna Process).
Step 4: ENROLMENT AT UNIVPM (from July to November 2021)
Application period is from July to November, 2021. The enrollment procedure is completely online. Follow the instructions below:
- Enter the following URL: https://univpm.esse3.cineca.it/Home.do ESSE3 Servizi online, from the Menu select Registration and proceed filling the form with the required informations.
- Use the temporary login credentials (username and password) to enter your Reserved Area and then from the Menu select REGISTRAR’S OFFICE – ENROLLMENT.
- Fill the form and upload an ID photo (JPG or BMP file extension, 200 dpi resolution, 400 kb maximum size). The photo should include full head and shoulders on a white background.
- Once you have completed the procedure, print and sign the enrollment form.
- Pay the first instalment of the tuition fees with the PagoPA. (link PagoPA)
- From UPLOAD ATTACHEMENTS upload copies of the required documents in PDF format.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE ENROLLMENTE ON ESSE3:
- a signed copy of the enrollment form (once downloaded and printed);
- a front and back copy of your ID card or other valid identity document (e.g. passport);
- a copy of your original university degree with the certified translation issued by the Italian Embassy or Consulate;
- a copy of your original transcript of records with the certified translation issued by the Italian Embassy or Consulate (the transcript of records may be replaced by the Diploma Supplement);
- a copy of syllabus including all the learning activities completed to obtain the foreign academic qualification, on the headed paper of the foreign university with an official stamp and signature;
- a copy of the declaration of value of your degree issued by the Italian Embassy or Consulate located on the country whose “legislation on education” your degree belongs to;
- a copy of a language certification in English B2 CEFR level (or higher) or another official document that certifies your knowledge of the English language issued by your university of provenance. The certification or other official document have to be written in English or Italian. (English mother tongue applicants satisfy the language pre-requisite as well).
- a copy of your Italian fiscal code;
- a copy of the residence permit or receipt, confirming the application for the permit (only for non-EU equivalent students).
3. Non-EU citizens resident abroad
Step 1: Pre-acceptance procedure.
Application period is from March 31st to June 15th, 2021. You can submit your pre-application online via our web platform https://moduli.ing.univpm.it/im14/ . The Pre-acceptance submission is completed when the APPLICATION reports the status CHIUSO1.
Step 2: Admissions Procedure.
The Admission Committee (AC) will examine your pre-acceptance documentation. If necessary, the AC will send you an email to set the date for a skype interview. If the AC’s judgement is positive, the AC will send you a letter of acceptance and you can start to prepare the documents for the pre-enrollment and the enrollment procedures according to step 3 and step 4 below.
PLEASE NOTE: the letter of acceptance does not substitute the compulsory pre-enrollment through Universitaly. We suggest you to apply for the Pre-acceptance on univpm.it and for the Pre-enrollment on universitaly.it at the same time.
Step 3: Pre-enrolment through the Italian Embassy/Consulate
The Pre-enrollment application on Universitaly is compulsory! Enter the following URL: https://www.universitaly.it/
Follow the instructions below in order to complete the pre-enrollment procedure:
- Register on Universitaly website and get your login credentials (username and password), then choose the study course you intend to apply for..
- Upload the following attachments:
- a copy of your passport;
- a copy of your university degree with a certified translation in English or Italian (pay attention! Your degree has to satisfy the enrollment requirements);
- a copy of your transcript of records written in English or Italian (a certificate issued by your university of provenance that certifies your academic degree, passed exams, grades, credits or the amount of hours for each subject);
- a copy of a language certification in English B2 CEFR level (or higher) or another official document that certifies your knowledge of the English language issued by your university of provenance. The certification or other official document have to be written in English or Italian. (English mother tongue applicants satisfy the language pre-requisite as well).
- Once you have completed the pre-enrollment procedure, the university evaluates your eligibility for the enrollment and then it will respond positively or negatively (the university may ask you for further documents to attach). The university’s decision will be shown on Universitaly and you will be informed by mail.
- Once accepted by the university, you have to contact the Italian Embassy or Consulate located in the country whose “legislation on education” your degree belongs to, in order to submit:
- your pre-enrollment application on Universitaly already validated by the university;
- your university degree;
- your transcript of records;
- a syllabus including all the learning activities completed to obtain the foreign academic qualification, on the headed paper of the foreign university, with an official stamp and signature;
- 4 passport photos.
The Embassy will:
- the official translation of your degree;
- the legalisation of your degree;
- the declaration of value of your degree;
- the student Visa
PLEASE NOTE: The pre-enrollment itself is not sufficient to be admitted to the study courses. In order to enroll for the study course chosen, you have to complete the procedures provided by the Università Politecnica delle Marche, following the instructions below:
