Council of the PhD school in Engineering science

Duties

The school is governed through a PhD school council, enactment of the faculty council, which deliberates on the division of resources and on the guidelines of the PhD courses in terms of didactics, quality goals and self evaluation.
The activation of new courses, the suppression of existing ones or the simple reorganization are discussed each year in the school council, whenever there is a request for a new cycle. This provides the school flexibility and makes it able to adapt to scientific and technological changes due to the progression of knowledge and research, to offer the PhD students new educational trainings.

Composition

The PhD school council is composed of:

• the coordinators of the Phd courses of the school;
• a number of councilors, designated by the faculty council during the first session, to the extent of one every 10 professors (if fractional, the number will be rounded up to the next integer); if the PhD course is structured in curricula, each curriculum must be represented by at least one professor;
• PhD students representatives, one for each PhD course, designated by the PhD students of the PhD school, which partecipate to the meetings to handle didactic, scientific and organizational problems.
