To impart the basic elements of Real Analysis.

 

Topics :

 

Functions, limits and continuity. Differentiability and Continuity.Maximum and Minimum values of a function: Applications. Rolle's Theorem and the Mean-Value Theorem. Increasing and Decreasing Functions and the First Derivative - Test. The Second – Derivative Test for Relative Extreme. Concavity and Point of Inflection.Antiderivative of a Function. The Definite Integral:Properties, the Mean-Value Theorem, the Fundamental Theorem of the Calculus. Techniques of Integration. Squences and Infinites Series. Power Series and Taylor Series ( The Essential ). Complex Numbers.Polar Coordinates.

Exam :

 

The exam consists in an oral part and a written one.

 

Tutorial Session :
