Aims :
The
course introduces the students to the topics of
managing and optimizing human resources within
businesses, offering them a solid informational
base that will stimulate their interest and motivate
them to embrace ongoing training as a valid approach.
Topics :
In particular, the following topics
will be explored:
The legal framework regarding employment and the
workplace: the constitution, the statute regarding
employees, Law 125 (equal opportunity), Law 626
and ff. (safety), other pertinent laws, industrial
relations, social factors and negotiations; history,
case history, and best practices concerning the
management of human resources; activities tied
to the managment of human resources: recruitment
and selection of personnel; inserting the empoyee
into the company context, training, the difference
between training and on-the-job training, types
of distance training and related technologies;
evaluation, motivation, incentives; daily management
of personnel.
During the course exercise sessions
will be held pertaining to the above topics in
order to allow the students to experiment with
techniques for personnel management, such as coaching,
teamwork, problem solving, interpersonal communications.
