course aims to give to the students the basic
concepts about the Project Management (PM) and
the strategic role of a complete supply chain.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Understanding Project Life Cycle and Project Management
Processes. Project Scope Management. WBS: creating
the Work Breakdown Structure. Resource planning
and estimating. Time estimating techniques. Cost
estimating techniques. Establishing project planning
controls. Identifying quality standards. Developing
the project team. Risk management planning: qualitative
and quantitative risk analysis.
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Supply chain performance: achieving strategic
fit and scope. Designing the distribution network
in a supply chain. Modes of transportation and
their performance characteristics. An introduction
to material handling. Basic storage equipment
and methods. Storage systems.
