Aims
:
The course introduces to the knowledge of the
ways to evaluate and control the environmental
noise impact from industrial settlements, in order
to make the students aware of the themes about
the quality improvement and of the living the
land in a better way.
Topics :
Introduction to the acoustics. Ear physiology.
Spectral analysis of sound and noise. Phon and
isophonic curves. Equivalent continuous A, B,
C, D- weighted sound pressure level. Noise exposure.
Materials and structures sound absorption. Standing
waves. Acoustic insulation. Ideal and real insulation
power of walls and casings. Noise exposure inside
industrial settlements and environment. Noise
of the centrifugal fans, axial flow fans, mixed
flow fans and some other plants. Noise from gas
turbine sets. Noise radiated into and along a
duct. Attenuation of the sound during its outdoors
propagation. Indoors and outdoors noise control.
Autostanding fixed and mobile screening obstacle.
Barrier. Cabs. Dissipative and reactive mufflers.
Environmental noise at a given distance for a
variety of sources. Structures vibrations. Vibro-acoustic
transfer properties of the structures. Exposure
to the vibrations. Accelerometer. Resilient materials
and components. Coil spring. Floating floors.
Methods of valuation of environmental noise. Measurements.
Normative.
