Topics :

The metallurgy course offers to the students one general vision on the used metallic materials in the mechanical constructions. The arguments deal to you regard the principles of iron and steel industry, the solidification and the structure of the metals, the heat treatments, the superficial coverings and the mechanical property of several the metallic materials of industrial interest. In particular the course introduces steels second the UNI-EN classification that comprises steels for general uses, the several classes of special steels based on their employment, the cast irons, the stainless steel, the magnesium, aluminium, branch alloys and titanium, leaving from the extraction processes and continuing with the property and employs to it. The course finally exposes to the processes to the fabrication of articles by means of the metallurgy of powders.
