infrastructures providing, planning and operating
methods, technicques based on standard prescriptions
and traffic analysis.
Topics :
Road vehicles , vehicle motion resistance,
tractive equation, skid resistance. Horizontal
alinement, design speed, spiral curves. Vertical
alinement, gradients , vertical curves. Cross
road section, traffic shoulder, traffic divider,
slope and face wall, roadsides, standard cross
section, cross section on curve, cross section
of mountain road. Continuos traffic flow analysis,
traffic capacity and volume, speed process, traffic
concentration, volume-concentration diagramm,
, time headway, road capacity, instability phenomenon.
Cross section design, levels of service, selection
of design sections. Traffic congestion delay,
delay characteristics, queueing processes, queueing
status and service rate.
