Aims :
To provide students with a better knowledge of
the various aspects of building recovery and restoration
with particular reference to problems connected
with the executive project for intervention.
Topics :
Investigation of topics concerning
intervention techniques both for historical buildings
and the recovery of modern architecture, by means
of essays and classroom discussions of restoration
and/or recovery plans chosen by the lecturer.

Techniques for intervention on masonry and wooden
structures will be thoroughly examined.
Particular attention will also be paid to topics
concerning the restoration of modern architecture,
to the study of some pathologies such as those
connected with rising damp, and to problems concerning
the seismic improvement and adjustment of buildings.
Development of an executive project previously
geometrically surveyed.
