Aims :

 

To teach the digital electronic basics and provide the skill for the combinational circuits designing. To explain the elementary Integrated Circuits and the electrical performances of the logic families. To provide the skill for the sequential circuits designing.

 

Topics :

 

Introduction to the digital electronics.
Binary Signals.
Number Systems and Codes.
Switching Algebra (Boole).
Combinational Circuits Analysis and Synthesis.
Elementary Digital Integrated Circuits (Multiplexer, Demultiplexer, Encoder, Decoder, Latch, Flip-Flop).
Electrical characteristics of the logic families (semiconductor diode and Bipolar Junction Transistor).
Sequential Circuits Analysis and Synthesis.
Technical and economic analysis of Digital Systems on the market.

Exam :

 

Written test concerning analysis or synthesis of combinational and sequential circuits.
Oral test concerning theoretical aspects of the module.
