Aims :

The aim of the course is to provide students with the basic principles of microeconomic theory. The course will devolep mainly those aspects concerning the theory of production, and theory of costs in order to give a background for the advanced economic course of the area.

Topics :

Basic instruments of economic analysis. Market demand and supply. Theory of production. Theory of cost. Market structure ( competitive markets, monopoly, oligopoly ).

Exam :

The exam consists in two parts : a written one and an oral one.
