Aims :

This course aims to introducing radiation phenomena in electromagnetics, and to describe details of the most common classes of antennas.

Topics :

Basics of electromagnetics: Maxwell's equations and boundary conditions. Potentials and wave equation. Electric and magnetic dipoles. Introduction to the antennas: classification, characteristic parameters.
Wire antennas.
Aperture antennas,
Reflector antennas.
Planar Antennas.
Arrays.
