Aims :
This course is intended to provide
basic knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals
of electric circuits. The student should develop
the ability to learn and apply several approaches
used to analyze electric circuits, and develop
the ability to be able to choose between various
approaches.
Topics :
Voltage, Current, Kirchhoff’s Laws, Ohm’s
Law.
Resistors, inductors and capacitors.
First order circuits in the time domain.
Phasor analysis of AC circuits. Circuit analysis
techniques, Thevenin’s Theorem, superposition,
equivalent circuits.
Two-port networks.
Magnetic circuits. Transformers.
Frequency-domain analysis and filtering. Resonators.
Introduction to Electrical Machines.
Electric security.
Textbooks :
Charles Alexander, Matthew Sadiku, “Fundamentals
of Electric Circuits”, McGraw-Hill
Exam :
