Aims :
The course provides the knowledge
relative to tools (hardware and software) and
methodologies for testing and measurement of Quality
and diagnostics in industrial production, with
particular reference to mechanical industry.
Topics :
In the course theory and application of measurement
techniques, data acquisition and post-processing
for diagnostic of mechanical products and processes
will be given. The most innovative procedures
will be presented, as those based on non-contact
sensors (laser, infrared, vision systems, etc.)
or on Neural Network for pattern recognition and
classification. Practical exercises will be performed
using computer programming and simulations in
LabView environment.
The methodologies will be analyzed also with reference
to implementation of Standards on Quality Systems
and to application for reliability analysis and
maintenance, widely studied in the course of “Measurement
and Control of Quality in Industrial Production”.
