Aims :
Ability
to use the scientific schematisation and the corresponding
logical/mathematical tools in describing a phenomenon.
Basic knowledge of particle mechanics, systems
mechanics, static and dynamics of fluids, error
analysis and data analysis.
Topics

weight and friction forces. Tension. Inertial
and not inertial frames, real and fictitious forces.
Energy and momentum. Centre of mass. Work, Energy.
Conservative forces, potential energy; force and
potential energy gradient. Potentials wells and
barriers. Collisions. Mechanical and thermal energy.
