Aims :
The
course has the aim to provide the basics of transport
engineering according to the main theory of transport
systems.
Topics :
Transport Technique - External forces
depending on the mass of the vehicle. Resistances
to movement: rolling resistance, aerodynamic resistance,
resistance in bend. Ground reaction: longitudinal
and transversal friction. Engine couple and breaking
couple. Traction characteristic: ideal characteristic
and characteristic curves of combustion motors.
Traction equation. Study of movement. Punctual
systems performances: transit stations and head
stations. Linear systems performances.
Transport Economy - Economic and financial analysis.
Benefit-costs analysis: identification of the
alternatives, direct and indirect benefits, indicators.
Multi-criterion analysis: identification of the
alternatives and of the system of objectives,
calculation and interpretation of the decision
matrix.
