Aims :

The course aims to give to the students a solid understanding of the analytical tools necessary to solve supply chain problems.

Topics :

Supply chian performance: achieving strategic fit and scope. Designing the distribution network in a supply chain. Demand forecasting in a supply chain. Components of a forecast and forecasting methods. Planning and managing inventories in a supply chain. Modes of transportation and their performance characteristics. An introduction to material handling. Basic storage equipment and methods. Storage systems.
