Aims :
The aim of the course is to supply the students
with the basics of the experimental methods and
techniques used in testing materials and structures
with the objective of facing with the issues of
safety assessment and control of construction.
Topics :
Methods of structural control (destructive
and non-destructive testing techniques, insitu
testing for the assessment of structural performance
in r.c. and masonry construction, final evaluation
of structural performance).
Testing of construction materials (testing machines,
testing of steel, concrete, clay tile, wood).
