Aims :
To
recognize the Mathematics and in particular the
Geometry as an instrument for representing and
describing a project, besides a method of solving
problems. To learn some tecniques of representation
and calculus.
Topics :
Linear systems and Gauss elimination
technique. Matrices and operations, Determinants.
Vector spaces. Linear transformations and associated
matrices. Base changes. Affine Geometry: Cartesian
equations of subspaces, relative position of lines
in the space, orientation. Scalar products, orthogonality.
Euclidean Geometry: orthogonal coordinates, angles,
distances. Eigenvalues and eigenvectors, reduction
of an endomorphism to a diagonal one, symmetric
endomorphisms.

Exam :
There is a written test with exercises and an
oral test soon afterwards. There may also be some
written not compulsory tests during the lessons.
Tutorial Session :
I meet the students in my office twice a week,
during my office-hours, as on the board of the
Maths Dept. Moreover, however I can meet students
on appointment (contact me by email).
