Aims :
The aim of the course is to provide the students
with the fundamentals of classical mechanics and
to prepare them to use the concepts of physics
in the framework of their future professional
activity. In particular, a fundamental objective
consists in the training of the students to use
logical forms suited to the critical analysis
of the experimental evidences and the related
phenomenological description.
Topics :
The scientific method. Cinematic
of the point particle. Dynamics of the point particle.
Examples of force. Galileian relativity. Non-inertial
reference systems. Energy and work. Systems of
particles. Conservation laws. Collisions. Cinematic
and dynamics of rigid bodies. Scalar and vector
fields- Gravitation. The electric charge. Electric
fields. The Gauss law. Electric potential. Electric
capacity. Polarization in the matter. Electric
currents. Electromotive force and circuits. Magnetic
fields. Magnetic fields generated by electric
currents. Electromagnetic induction.
