Aims :
The course provides a systematic treatment of
electronic circuits and systems for telecommunications,
and aims to give to the students the necessary
tools both for the analysis and synthesis.
Topics :
Introduction to RF systems, basic
concepts in RF design, resonant circuits, networks
for matching, sinusoidal oscillators, Gilbert
cell, modulators, demodulators, phase detector,
voltage controlled oscillators, PLL, , wideband
amplifiers, the noise in the integrated circuits,
noise characterization, noise figure, low noise
amplifiers, wireless RF systems, digital modulation
and transmission, mixers. RF tranceivers: architectures,
RF power amplifiers. Powerline communication.
