The course supplies the acquaintances of base of the marine atmosphere (study of the waves, currents, transport, sediments, etc.) and the tipologia of the harbour and coastal works.

Topics :

Wind waves tides, tsunami. Wave statistics small-amplitude water wave theory formulation and solution.
Energy and energy propagation in progressive waves. wave refraction and diffraction. Harbours. Typologies of rubble-mound breakwaters and vertical breakwaters
