Aims :
Due to its position in the final
year, this course gives the possibilities to synthesise
some cultural and design experiences giving tools
to develop the final thesis.
Topics :
The aim of the course is to transmit
fundamental tools to take part to an integrated
plan process as it is developed in other European
universities as according to Socrates Program.
These fundamental tools are: 1) urban and city
planning thinking and basic elements of natural
and cultural landscape transformation; 2) urbanism
for landscape and urban resources analysis focusing
on those determining environmental condition (assessment
and analytical methods, project tolls development
and application, European legislation, case study
in European and Italian context); 3) main methods
for an integrated design approach. Besides individual
study and practical training, will provide students
with landscape analytical and management tools
(GIS). One extra credit will be provided to those
students taking part to the “International
Project Academy” summer school (see Urbanistica
II laboratory program).
