Aims :

 

The Course is oriented to the study of methodological and operational issues concerning the building yard management, the supervision of works and the coordination for safety during works execution.

 

Topics :

 

The course is oriented to educate in organizing, leading and managing the people, materials, and processes of building construction.
Students in the Building Construction Program learn the basic principles and practices of construction management, real estate development, science, and technology. Building Construction students are trained to manage the functions and processes of every aspect of the construction industry. The course discusses the following main arguments:
Procedural and legal aspects in the construction process. Duties and accomplishments of work supervisor and safety manager. Technical issues of construction processes. Work accounting. Work inspection. Work scheduling and site planning. Installation and use of site machinery and facilities. Scaffolding and provisional works. Safety practice in construction works. Methods for safety management.
